Closing the Gender Pay Gap with Meggie Palmer - 025
Meggie Palmer and her company PepTalkHer are closing the gender pay gap. Their incredible app leverages the power of AI to fight gender based discrepancies in pay.
I first encountered Meggie at the Vogue Codes event in 2019. The minute I saw her on stage delivering the keynote address I knew I wanted to have her on the Females in Tech Show. It was such a thrill to finally turn that dream into a reality!
In this episode we cover:
- Meggie Palmer’s career journey from journalist, to executive media training, to Founder and CEO of Pep Talk Her (10:25)
- We talk about the statistic where women earn 79 cents to every dollar that men earn, and why that is the case, and the unconscious bias in hiring men vs. women (16:08)
- Some of the ways females in tech can Identify if they are underpaid in comparison to their male peers (29:52)
- How to measure your value, and keep track of your impact on the organisation (various)
